DRDO CVRDE Recruitment 2026 for 93 ITI Apprentice Trainee Posts
Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (CVRDE), a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence, has announced recruitment for 93 ITI Apprentice Trainee posts across 18 trades. Vacancies are available for COPA, Draughtsman, Electrician, Fitter, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Machinist, Painter, Plumber, Turner, Welder, Electronics Mechanic, Photographer and other trades. Candidates must have an NCVT/SCVT-recognized ITI qualification in the relevant trade and should have passed during 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026. Selection will be based on ITI marks followed by a walk-in interview being held on September 8 and 9, 2026, at CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai.

How to Apply
Complete the mandatory registration on the NCVT/SCVT MIS portal before attending the selection process.
Confirm that the relevant ITI qualification was passed in 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 and that the result was declared on or before August 30, 2026.
Carry the required 10th/12th certificates, ITI mark sheets, NCVT/SCVT certificate and MIS registration details.
Carry Aadhaar Card and applicable caste, EWS or PwD certificates.
Report at CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai – 600054 on September 8 or 9, 2026.
Candidates can report between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM for document verification and walk-in interview.
Shortlisting will be based on marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination followed by the interview.
Selected candidates will receive the joining letter at the venue.
Selected candidates must produce the prescribed police verification certificate at the time of joining.
