Southern Railway Recruitment 2026 for 4471 Act Apprentice Posts
Southern Railway has announced recruitment for 4,471 Act Apprentice vacancies under the Apprentices Act, 1961 across its divisions, workshops and units. The recruitment includes 163 Fresher and 4,308 Ex-ITI apprenticeship vacancies in trades such as Fitter, Welder, Painter, MLT and various ITI trades. Candidates generally require 10th Pass with at least 50% marks, while Ex-ITI candidates also need an ITI certificate in the relevant trade and MLT Fresher candidates require 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Selection will be based entirely on academic merit without a written examination or interview. Online applications are open until 27 September 2026 at 5:00 PM.
