DGQA Recruitment 2026 for 15 Technician (Semi-Skilled) Posts

Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, has announced Recruitment 2026 for 15 Technician (Semi-Skilled) posts in Fitter Auto, Electrician Mate and Labourer trades. The recruitment includes 11 Fitter Auto, 3 Electrician Mate and 1 Labourer vacancy across DGQA establishments associated with Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Sangareddy, Telangana. Candidates generally require an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade or an equivalent Defence Services Tradesman Course, depending on the position. Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level-1 with a pay scale of ₹18,000 to ₹56,900. Applications must be submitted offline through Speed Post, with 28 August 2026 as the closing date for normal areas and 4 September 2026 for specified far-flung areas.

Download the prescribed Appendix ‘A’ application form from the DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026 notification.
Print the application on A4-size paper and complete it in English using block letters.
Affix a recent passport-size photograph in the prescribed place.
Attach self-attested copies of the required educational, ITI, date-of-birth and other supporting certificates.
Attach the applicable caste/EWS and Ex-Servicemen certificates, if relevant.
Enclose one additional passport-size photograph and a self-addressed envelope measuring 30 cm × 12 cm with a ₹55 postage stamp.
Superscribe the application envelope with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIAN (SEMI SKILLED) TRADE: ________, ESTABLISHMENT CODE: ________”.
Send the completed application through Speed Post to The Controller, Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Heavy Vehicles), Post Box No. 20, Avadi, Chennai – 600054.
Ensure the application reaches the prescribed address by 28 August 2026. Candidates covered under the notified far-flung-area provision have until 4 September 2026.
